Reflections

As the fall semester is reaching its end, I reflecting on my Indian Epics course. Some of my favorite things about this class were the storybook and portfolios and that it introduced me Interest. I really enjoyed reading my classmates’ storybooks and portfolios. Some of them were so creative. My favorites were the one that used a therapist/ patient style and the one that used a bachelor tell all theme. I enjoyed these themes because it made the stories easier to understand. Sometimes the Indian epics can be kind of confusing just because all of the foreign names and the ancient themes. When the story is modernized it makes it a little more relatable, entertaining, and easier to comprehend. I have many friends who used Pinterest. I was never really interested in it because I thought that it was just a distraction and a waste a time. But it is actually really useful for a lot of things.

Reading Diary B: "Myths of the Hindus and buddhists"

I enjoyed reading the second half of the "Myths of the Hindus and Buddhists" more than I enjoyed the first half. My favorite story was the story of Story of Siva, the Great God. In this story I got a better idea of what kind of God Siva was. In the first portion of this reading, I felt like I did not know the God Siva at all. This was a little disappointing because I like to have some background information

Reading Diary A: Myths of the Hindus and Buddhists

I really enjoyed my first half of reading for week 14. A story that I enjoyed from the Myths of the Hindus and Buddhists was the story of The Anger of Shiva. In this story it describes the anger of Shiva. The story was very detailed. This helped to illuminate Shiva's anger. It used terms like "burned," "energy," and "tore." All of these terms allude to anger. In this story a demon prays to Shiva, asking him to help him defeat Daksha.

Review for Week 13

My favorite graphic from the current announcement is the meme of the cat. It made me laugh. I love cats.

Famous Last Words: Week 14

Even though I did not complete the declarations for reading A and B, I did do the reading -- just not on time. I enjoyed the reading. It was really interesting. I learned a little more about the Indian culture. My best writing for this week would have to be my writing for my capstone course. I had to write about behavioral issues among adolescents and my experience at my internship and how some of the children there have express behavioral problems.

In this particular class, I believe that my best writing was my stories in my portfolio. The stories written in my portfolio are written in an informal style. It is written in a gossip tone. The purpose of this is to contribute to the overall tone of my portfolio.

I have read many creative and unique storybooks and portfolios. One of my favorite is the portfolio written in a patient/ therapist style. The patients are Sita and Ramus. It deals with Sita and Ramus’s struggling relationship. Ramus is not the best husband to Sita. He seem to take Sita for granted. The therapist/ patient style really allows the reader to understand with what Sita is going through. It also allows the reader to sympathize with Sita.

Things are going well with my other classes. I am kind of stressed out right now though since finals are coming up. I am most stressed out about my Human Anatomy course. They are just a lot to memorize for this class. The final in this class is cumulative so that is kind of stressful. In my capstone class I have a 10 page essay due. I have not written a paper this long so I kind of nervous about it. I have yet to start on it. I plan to start it when I get back from thanksgiving.
